Check your traffic fines on-line

All of us expatriates have been through the notorious fingerprinting, medical checks and endless Civil ID process when we first got here. It leaves you with the impression that anything involving the Ministry can take an age, especially if you have no Arabic.

However, its not all bad news. You can check your traffic fines on-line. If you get a traffic fine, you are never informed until you next take your car to the Testing Station - and you may find that you owe the Ministry quite a hefty sum! I am also reliable informed that you get problems leaving the airport if you have a traffic fine. This may just be rumour though.

If you click this link though, enter your Civil ID number, you can see if you have a fine or not. Its in Arabic, but still easy enough to use.
